The Bafang systems differ for three types of motors: Wheel motors and mid motor BBS01 which mounts a Speed sensor that activates the motor with the simple turn of pedals, not requiring any effort to get power. This type of sensor is ideal for those who want to use the bicycle as a means of transport without making effort; The central motor MAX DRIVE that instead mounts a last generation Torque sensor and that is capable of developing up to 100Nm torsion.

All bikes have different assist levels that allow you to decide at any time how much activity you want to do.

The wheel motors

  • can develop a torque of approx. 30Nm;
  • speed sensor
  • ideal to tackle climbs with gradients of up to 14-15% effortlessly;
  • the most comfortable motor that allows reaching 25 km/h even at the lowest assist level because independent from pedals, actually it is able to reach maximum speed even without pressing on the pedals.

The central motor 8FUN BBS01

  • able to develop a torque of 80Nm;
  • speed sensor
  • ideal to tackle climbs with gradients of up to 25% effortlessly;
  • pedaling is more sporty, albeit very comfortable, as you always have the perception of towing, because the motor is engaged to the wheel by the chain and uses the gear ratios of the bicycle;
  • this type of motor is actually halfway between the Torque system and the Speed system, allowing the user to decide the amount of effort desired by means of the different assist levels.

The central motor MAX DRIVE

  • able to develop a torque of 80Nm (most powerfull on the market);
  • equipped with a last generation Torque sensor
  • ideal to tackle climbs with gradients of up to 25% effortlessly;
  • pedaling is more sporty, and is more natural sense as the motor responds to the pressure on the pedals as well as for Shinamo systems
  • Combined with the 420Wh battery provides long-lasting power for your excursions

The Bafang motors are combined with Li-Ion batteries of Samsung, Panasonic and Sanyo to ensure maximum durability and reliability. The batteries will be fully charged after only 4-6 hours of charging.
